One of my many other interests is Astronomy. I've made my own 8 inch F6 Dob telescope, but did NOT grind my own mirror. It's of the now classic Sonotube construction, and has worked out well

My List of Telescope goals for right now is

• Rebuild my telescope so that it is easier to transport
• Motorize the Telescope to make it easier to use while showing the stars to beginners
• Grind my own mirror for a larger scope

I think I'll combine the first two goals by building an entirely new mount, and change the scope to a truss tube. I know that this is odd in scopes this small, but...
