I've been a PC Basic programmer since LONG before there WAS a Visual Basic. I started programming professional in BASIC back in 1982 with GWBASIC, moved on to QuickBasic 3.0 (One of Microsoft's DOS Basic Compilers), went to Microsoft PDS 7.x, then to VB1 through VB5. I have also programmed in the old Borland Turbo Basic.

Trivia for you - What year did Phillipe Kahn say basic was dead? .
1988
Some of you probably used to read John Murdoch's column in Databased Advisor magazine.

Guess what? I'm the inspiration for Big Charlie from Queens

I was a Section leader in the CompuServe Visual Basic Programmers Journal Forum before it was shut down.
