In the spring of 2009, I decided I needed a "Windage Top" for my rifle rest. I looked around, and saw quite a few on the market, ranging from the Farley Coaxial, to the various Midway products.
The rest that most interested me was the Hoehn Varmint windage top. I called Mr Hoehn up, only to find that he no longer made his tops, but like so many people in the benchrest game, he was willing to help out. He was more than willing to talk me through some of the design problems I would run into in making my own.

I decided to go down into the shop, and make my own.

Windage Top

Most of the parts are made of Fortal Aluminum. The stop rod is 1/4" drill rod, and the horizontal adjuster is a piece of 1/4" all-thread with a shop-made knob.

I am willing to make a limited number of these rests. If you are interested, please contact me.
